hm sqlite import app.sqlite --workspace my-change --from app.sqlite --replace

Exporting briefly pauses the Site. Importing keeps a copy of what it replaced. Both are limited to 128 MiB.

A common use: copy Live's real data into a Workspace to test with it.

Uploaded files

For private files visitors have uploaded (under uploads/ or data/):

hm storage export uploads/photo.png --live --output photo.png
hm storage import uploads/photo.png --live --from photo.png --replace

One file at a time, up to 128 MiB.

Everything else

The Site's code is a Git repository: hm git clone my-site downloads all of it. Nothing locks you in.
